green - just enough that we have to keep the lawn mowers handy.

Our yard of the month for September is the home of Steve and
Aimee Tedoni at 2061 Seven Pines Drive. They are fairly new
residents, only being here 2 years, but they have really worked hard
from the ground up to beautify their landscaping.

red blooms and Rose of Sharon with white/red flowers set off with
dark green boxwoods. They purchased their plantings from local
nurseries. There are white vinca plants and at the corner of the garage
they have a decorative stone and ornamental grass.

Yard of the Month

Congratulations to Don and Kathy Renaud at 1939 Lakehurst Drive

Congratulations to Don and Kathy Renaud at 1939 Lakehurst Drive for the September Yard of the Month.

The home of Don and Kathy is very colorful. They have masses of Vinca and Marigold flowers in the front yard together with many other varieties of plants including euonymus, golden and red barberry, arborvitae, lily of the valley, roses, golden vickory, hostas, loriopi, juniper and yucca.

They lost two trees in a recent storm but have planted a crabapple tree to the right of the drive to fill in. There are two beautiful ferns in planters on the front porch.

Kathy says that she has had luck with Marigolds and Vinca to thwart the deer nibbling. The flowers and ferns were bought at the Seven Pines plant sale at which time she received sample packets of Milorganite fertilizer. She feels this has really helped her plants thrive this summer.
